This summer, Bridges Library System is sponsoring a system-wide activity for patrons called Journey of Dragons: A Library Challenge. Similar to last year’s challenge, it invites participants to visit multiple libraries, collect stamps, and earn entries to win exciting prizes. Rewards include $50 gift cards to local businesses across Waukesha and Jefferson counties—such as bookstores, restaurants, and family-friendly attractions. Prize drawings will take place in June, July, and August. You can pick up your map at either of WPL’s service desks.
Public libraries across Wisconsin are taking part in a coordinated postcard campaign to help protect federal funding for library services. As part of the campaign, WPL is inviting you to fill out postcards for Senator Tammy Baldwin, Congressman Scott Fitzgerald, or Senator Ron Johnson sharing why libraries are important to you and your community. All completed postcards will be collected and mailed by Bridges Library System in July. Stop by our table, located outside Program Room B and make your voice heard.
Attention Library lovers! The Library will be closed on summer Sundays starting Sunday, May 25. You can still visit us Monday through Saturday during our usual hours. Sunday hours will resume after Labor Day on Sunday, September 7.

WPL is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with our Summer Library Program! Volunteers will help staff our registration table, sign up participants, and distribute prizes. Waukesha Public Library is seeking to expand our Public Art Collection as part of our vision to inspire and engage the community. The Library currently owns 40 pieces of local artwork and hopes to find the next exceptional piece to enhance the cultural and visual aesthetics of our building.
