Request an Obituary
Individuals living outside of Waukesha County and who are unable to visit the Library to view microfilm may submit an obituary request. Obituary requests must be submitted via regular U.S. Mail. If the deceased individual was from Waukesha County, we can check our local paper, The Waukesha Freeman, back to 1859. If the individual did not live in Waukesha County, please contact the library in the appropriate community for assistance.
The following information must be included with your request:
- The decedent's full name
- Where the decedent lived at the time of death
- The decedent's exact date of death
- A legal-sized, self-addressed, stamped envelope
- A minimum $1 donation per name to be searched (please note that money will not be returned if the search is unsuccessful)
