Ramona Audley
Elk, a creation by Ramona Audley, was made from a beast she found at a landscape company. It was in rough shape. The base of the plastic and fiberglass animal came apart in 4 pieces for transport. She repaired, patched, and coaxed the pieces back together. She painted it in her signature bright colors and organic shapes to create a magnificent creature.
Ramona was a lifelong artist of Waukesha, and taught art at Hartland Arrowhead High School for close to 40 years. She has always been inspired by nature, especially plants and flowers. You have to smile when you see her art…and that emotion is what she enjoyed the most.
Elk can be found above the entrance to the Children’s area. Elk was donated by the Audley family in 2023
