Request an Obituary
Individuals living outside of Waukesha County and who are unable to visit the Library to view microfilm may submit an obituary request. Obituary requests may be submitted via regular U.S. Mail, or by emailing the Reference Department. If the deceased individual was from Waukesha County, we can check our local paper, The Waukesha Freeman, back to March 29, 1859. If the individual did not live in Waukesha County, please contact the library in the appropriate community for assistance.
The following information must be included with your request:
- The decedent's full name
- Where the decedent lived at the time of death
- The decedent's exact date of death
- A legal-sized, self-addressed, stamped envelope if requesting a hard copy of the obituary
