Marcia Schneider
Marcia Schneider of Waukesha has been living the life of an artist since she can remember. Although she has been painting and sculpting in many different mediums throughout her life, Marcia’s current focus is working with watercolor and rice paper in the batik method.
The Library purchased this unique collection which depicts different birds from Wisconsin around the main subject, the Great Blue Heron. Each bird appears to be curiously fascinated by the heron. This beautifully crafted artwork was dedicated in honor of former Library Director Jane Ameel.
Feathered Fascination is located in the Carnegie Reading Room. Acquired in 2012.
