Jeff Homar
Jeff Homar earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Science in Art from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He spent time as an art teacher in the School District of Cudahy and at MATC extension. Jeff has exhibited his work extensively, has won numerous awards.
Since 2000, the focus of Homar’s art has been on creating Art Boxes that incorporate watercolor paper and other materials into boxes inspired by observing nature, listening and reacting to music.
Electra is an abstract art experience, a visual play of electrical energy, with pulsating circles and wires full of power, pinched and twisting coming to a coiled climax in the middle. Electra’s energy is machine like, it implies movement in a confined space. The elements within are alive, or “it’s hot” as an electrician might say.
