Teen Summer Library Program!

Welcome to the 2020 Teen Summer Library Program! This program is for teens going into grades 7-12. Our program has a new format this year! Through Beanstack, you can earn badges by participating in our program. Each badge you unlock will earn you an entry into our Grand Prize Drawing at the end of Summer! Our Grand Prizes are $100 Visa Gift cards, $50 Visa gift cards and $25 Visa gift cards!

To finish the program, you have to earn 25 badges out of the 50 available badges. Once you earn 25 badges, you will get a prize pack! To get your prize pack, call or email the library and we will get your prize ready for pick up!

Each badge you unlock will earn you an entry into our Grand Prize Drawing. For example, if you complete all 50 badges, you will have 50 entries into the Grand Prize Drawing, increasing your chances to win a gift card!

There are three types of badges you can earn through our Teen Summer Library Program. The three badge categories are broken down like this:

Challenge Badges: There are 2 challenge badges you can earn. The first can be earned by signing up for the Teen Summer Reading Program. The second badge can be unlocked by earning 25 badges. The badge you earn for signing up for the program does not count toward the 25 badges you need to complete the program.

Logging Badges: These are badges you can earn by reading pages! The more pages you read this summer, the more badges you can unlock. There are 5 logging badges total. You can earn logging badges at 100, 500, 1,000, 2,000 and 3,000 pages.

Activity Badges: These are badges you can earn by participating in an activity. These can be earned by attending a virtual program, doing an activity and more! There are 43 activity badges that you can earn.

You can pick up a Teen Registration Packet at the Library, or you can view it here. If you have any questions about our Teen Summer Library Program, please call our Reference Desk at (262) 524-3682 or email Teen Librarian Carley at crymkus@waukesha-wi.gov.

Happy Summer Reading, teens!
